The Tyranids Gargoyles box set is a classic multipart plastic fast-attack squad kit released by Games Workshop. They act as the vanguard, winged harassment element of a Tyranid Hive Fleet swarm. The box contains a multipart plastic kit designed to assemble a core aerial unit.
10 Tyranid Gargoyles: Highly detailed bio-construct foot-soldiers adapted with large, leathery membranous wings.
Basing: The kit includes 10 small Citadel flying bases (clear plastic rods and round bases) to suspend the models in mid-air poses.
Gargoyles are engineered to blot out the sun and sow panic ahead of the main planetary invasion force.
Fleshborers: Each model is armed with a symbiotic bio-weapon that fires aggressive borer beetles to tear apart light infantry.
Caustic Venom: Designed with fanged mouths capable of spitting acid and toxic secretions during close-quarters dives.
Gargoyles are an exceptionally high-utility choice for a Hive Fleet:
Deep Strike & Speed: With an immense movement characteristic and the ability to Deep Strike, they can deploy anywhere on the map to snag secondary objectives or screen valuable monsters.
Shoot and Scoot: They possess unique abilities allowing them to make a normal move immediately after shooting in the shooting phase, enabling them to leap onto an objective, fire, and hide safely behind obscuring terrain.
