As a "Layer" paint, it has a lower pigment density than a Base paint. It is designed to be applied in multiple thin layers over darker base coats to build up a bright, rich color. 
Frequently used as the core mid-tone green for Warhammer 40k Salamanders Space Marines, Orks, and high-fantasy wood-elf themes.
Typically layered over Caliban Green (Base) and shaded with Biel-Tan Green (Shade) or Nuln Oil, then highlighted with Moot Green (Layer).
