- FINISH-CURE is an excellent substitute for polyester finishing resins.
- It can be used for applying fiberglass cloth to wood or used by itself to give wood a surface ready for primer & paint.
- THIS IS NOT A STRUCTURAL EPOXY!
- Primarily used for coating & finishing.
- Popular choice for applying cloth to the inside of epoxy fiberglass fuselages. Also commonly used for the sheeting of foam wings.
- When an ounce or more is mixed in a cup the working time (cup life) is 20mins, When spread into thin layers the working time is roughly 40mins.
- The finish area must remain above 75*F for at least 8 hours for proper cure time.
- If the ambient temperature is below 75*F, heat both Epoxy & finishing bottle (with caps off) in a microwave for 15-20 secs. If using partial bottles, use less time. After applying, you can occasionally apply a heat gun during the curing time or cover your project with a large carboard box with a lamp placed inside to maintain a higher temp during your curing time.
- For applying to lighter wight fiberglass, lay the cloth on the surface and brush FINISH-CURE through the cloth. For heavier cloth, apply the epoxy on the surface first, and then brush FINISH-CURE through the cloth.
- When using FINISH-CURE for the sheeting of foam wings, make sure to apply to the wood & not the foam. Acetone & isopropyl alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces.
- NOTE: May cause skin irritation, contains epoxy resins & polyamine resins, for skin contact remove with soap & water. DO NOT take internally, use with proper ventilation, keep out of reach of children & pets.
