For the most vibrant contrast and highlight effects, it is recommended to apply this paint over a bright white primer (such as Matt White) or a Zenithal undercoat.
Like most contrast-style paints, Battleship Grey flows aggressively into recesses. Be careful on large, completely flat panels (like vehicles) where it can pool unevenly; it excels most on textured details, cloth, and power armour creases.
Due to the intense pigmentation, it is best to use a hard plastic or ceramic palette rather than letting it sit on a wet palette foam, which can cause permanent staining.
