A specialized, two-component chemical weathering kit designed to produce authentic bluish-green patina textures on scale models and miniatures.
Unlike traditional acrylic paints that merely mimic the color of oxidized metal, this product contains a reactive oxidizing agent that chemically triggers a natural aging process.
Do not mix or pour the oxidizing agent into a bare metal dish or palette. The solution will corrode the dish, causing orange iron oxide pigments to bleed into your mix, turning the verdigris into a more yellowish-green hue. Use glass, ceramic, or plastic containers instead.
This product works optimally on small, highly textured areas where the chemical growth can settle naturally into recesses. Excess residue on raised surfaces can be gently wiped back or dry-brushed with gold/bronze to re-establish highlights.
